Server Maintenance
In order to keep the network servers functioning optimally, it
is important that they are maintained. Over time the performance
of a server will deteriorate, for example, the hard disk will
be increasingly used up, the requirements placed on the RAM can
increase, user accounts can become obsolete, and tape backups
can fail. In order to maintain the network servers, we can provide
monthly or more frequent 'health checks'.
Why maintain a server?
Over time servers generate log files and temporary files that
clutter hard disks. In order to keep them running smoothly and
up to date we need to apply fixes and patches depending on the
operating system (OS) of your server. Antivirus, firewall and
backup software needs regular checks to maintain the integrity
of the server.
We come to your site and apply the updates, then audit the machine
either on request (on call) or via a service contract

This process can involve ongoing telephone contact as well as
periodic visits to your offices to meet with members of your staff
